Hallway.

Is a landing a room? It has a roof, a floor and walls, but does anybody see it as a room or is it just a space to move through? We never stop to think about the routines of daily life; we just get our small rituals done as quickly and efficiently as we can. But what if we took a minute to think about what we are doing, and how we are moving in the spaces we inhabit? In a culture that is constantly getting faster, maybe it is time to slow down and reflect on the little things we do every day without even noticing.

At the same time, when we use the toilet our thoughts are completely introverted; focused on ourselves. It is at this time of solitude, shut off from the world, where we think about what is happening in our own lives. But what if the world came to you? If all the people and traffic of the outside world were compressed into a few walls. How would you feel? Exposed? Curious? Or just glad to have something to look at other than the bathroom door?
